The term “urban expansion” is often classified as “economic growth”. I’m certainly not against urban sprawl, but also appreciate the challenges that can arise from this reality. If it’s going to occur, let’s at least utilize wood from the forests where use is being transitioned. Reducing the use of concrete and cement is good positioning for the environment.
